A Comfort Smoothie Recipe

I am feeling cozy and great! I just made a banana chocolate smoothie. Here is the recipe that I will share with all of you:


Begin with a blender. Any blender will do! The bigger it is, the more smoothies you will have to share and/or enjoy on your own.


Next, this is a perfect recipe for anyone who bought too many bananas on their recent grocery shopping trip, or for anyone who wants to use some fresh bananas. The bananas I used were definitely ripe, if not reaching maturity.


Next, use some hot chocolate mix. You can make this even more authentic by adding dark chocolate squares, or you can cheat a little bit with the recipe and add hot chocolate mix. If diabetes is in your family, as it is with mine, try using a hot chocolate mix with stevia or honey, or perhaps an unsweetened mix, and you can add a natural sweetener such as maple syrup or agave.


The next step is to add soya milk. You can definitely use cow's milk if that works for you, or oat milk, almond milk, etc. The reason why I use soya milk is that nurses told me that it has more protein than oat milk.


Voilà! There is your delicious, comforting banana chocolate smoothie! Enjoy!
