Man Arrested for Assaulting a Toronto Police Parking Enforcement Officer,
Victor Avenue and Broadview Avenue

The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of an arrest made in an Assault Peace Officer investigation.
On Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 9:07 a.m., police responded to a call for Assault Peace Officer in the Victor Avenue and Broadview Avenue area
It is alleged that:
the victim, a Parking Enforcement Officer (PEO), was attempting to complete a parking violation notice
a man approached the PEO and assaulted them
the man was arrested shortly thereafter
the PEO suffered non-life-threatening injuries
Anastassios Giannopoloulos, 66, of Toronto has been arrested and charged with:
Assault Peace Officer
Assault Peace Officer with a Weapon
He is scheduled to appear in court at the Ontario Court of Justice, 10 Armoury Street, on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 10 a.m., in room 202.
